What’s your big picture?

Have you ever been really stressed over seemingly small things? or feel like all the “little” things are adding up and making you extra super-duper like NEED to lay down for the rest of the day upset? because me too.

In attempting to stay calm when this happens- first breathe & take a second for yourself, then reframe the mindset and try to focus on the opportunity or lesson the ‘problem’ gives you. When you focus on the bigger picture of your life, the small stuff feels less stressful. It can help enormously to step back and look at the bigger picture, reminding yourself of what's really important.

For example; it really isn’t a big deal that my pup peed on my new carpet. At first I was really upset & wanted to get angry, but then I reframed to the lesson it would eventually teach my dog. & thats not to pee in the house.

Often we become fixated on a situation or challenge & completely miss how it may benefit our larger cause.

Is there value in stressing the small stuff if it moves you towards your big picture dream?

It’s way easier said than done to not stress the small stuff, but this shift in mindset definitely helps me from getting too overwhelmed or feeling defeated. By thinking bigger, you're less likely to be upset over the details that won't matter much in the long run. A big picture thinker is likely to see how an obstacle can turn into an opportunity! - a real plus if you're leading a team.

Yes, details do make up a big picture BUT zooming in on the details only makes it more stressful to deal with. For me, this is learning to be okay with disappointing friends & staying in to work or do homework because that will benefit my personal goals & big picture vision.

Understanding YOUR big picture can help you prioritize life effectively.

  • Do you know what your big picture looks like?

Anyways my MAIN point is:

Don't become so focused on a current challenge that you miss the bigger picture and lesson it can provide.
